NEW AVENGERS COMIC BOOKS, GRAPHIC NOVELS, STATUES, BUSTS, TRADE PAPERBACKS SHOP FOR NEW AVENGERS COMICS New Avengers Comic Books are simply a re-grouping of what has been a staple group of Marvel Comics super heroes, that first put their heads and powers together in 1963. At that time, the group consisted of Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Wasp, and Ant-Man. But the days of super hero comic books were young, and 40 years stretched ahead of the creative minds at Marvel Comic Books, who had yet to come up with some of their best characters and story lines. In the beginning, the group was financed by industrialist Tony Stark, also known as Iron Man. He let them use his home as their headquarters, and it would be from there, that the fluctuating assembly of characters would charge forth to face the evils of the world. While Stark struggled to get them government approval, and laid down a code of conduct, there were subtle shifts within the team, the Incredble Hulk departing, and Captain America being revived and recruited. The core philosophies (if not the actual characters), would carry on their mission for truth and justice into the new millennium as the New Avengers! The 21st Centrury team was disbanded after the Scarlet Witch turned on her friends in the House of M storyline. A number of the avengers were murdered, their headquarters destroyed, and Tony Stark's industry resources collapsed, in January of 2005. Enter the New Avengers, right on their heels, the next month. The New Avengers were assembled from characters present when evil forces busted open an island prison for the most dangerous offenders. Caught on the island at the time of the event, were a number of former Avengers, including Spider-Woman, Spider-Man, the Daredevil and Captain America. It was the Captain who decided that fate had brought them together again, and they regrouped as the central cast of the New Avengers comic books.
