“It’s important to stand up for what we believe in,” Rupert Grint explains why he is against JK Rowling’s racist views.
Go back to the middle of last year. One of the most talked about drama was the case of Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling when she tweeted: People who will be counted as women are those who only have their period. This tweet has earned her right over many people including Hollywood actresses. People online, including Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint, the lead stars of the Harry Potter films have criticized the fact that they are not. The message is racist, transgender and non-binary.

Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Weasley, recently spoke to The Times to explain why he had to stand up. And oppose the sexist opinions of J.K.
“Social media is a platform through which we can create conversations. But if you put your own opinion into it You too can be criticized. For people and communities that need our love and support. I think it’s still important for us to stand up for what we believe. That is why I came out to speak for myself last year. I want to give them some love, ”Rupert said.

For J.K. Rowling, who had to face severe criticism. A few days after the tweet came out. She has published a 3,000-word article titled JK Rowling Writes about Her Reasons for Speaking Out on Sex and Gender Issues to reinforce her position and perspective on gender. But it is still attacked by LGBT advocates as inappropriate. And it makes this belief look dangerous for the transgender people.
