Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi back to the club.
The Blues are understood to have Guehi on their list of targets to bolster their defence, despite selling him for £18m in 2021, before Chelsea were taken over by current owners Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital.
Palace have yet to receive any formal contact from Chelsea, but Guehi’s representatives are aware his former club are interested.
Guehi has 18 months remaining on his current deal, having signed a five-year deal when he moved to Palace.
The interest underscores Chelsea’s efforts to sign a centre-back in January or the summer transfer window.
They recently lost Wesley Fofana to โปรโมชั่นพิเศษจาก UFABET สมัครตอนนี้ รับโบนัสทันที a hamstring injury which. According to Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca, could be out for the rest of the season.
However, those close to Fofana insist they expect a much shorter time to return.
In the case of Benoit Badiashile, he will be out until February.
Guehi made just two senior appearances for Chelsea, both in the 2019 EFL Cup, before being loaned out to Swansea in the Championship for a season and a half before moving to Palace.
He has made 22 senior appearances for England.
Palace had four bids rejected from Newcastle last summer, with the final offer worth £65m.
Chelsea are also reported to be considering recalling Trevoh Chalobah from his loan spell at Palace, while Argentine defender Aaron Ansolmino has also been recalled from Boca Juniors.
